Funky Wrench

Funky Wrench is a covers band, playing songs that they like, from The Darkness, to the Kinks, to U2.
They have played in a number of different bands before, totalling up to three of four hundred gigs between them. Over the past year and a half, they have playing a number of gigs within the West Midlands area, to name a few ‘The Shed’ in Brierley Hill, ‘The Firkin’ in Langley and the bands local, ‘The Pheasant’ in Warley.
Funky Wrench can do sets of up to around 2 hours, and they own a 1K PA system plus backline, so can accommodate medium sized pubs/clubs.
Funky Wrench was formed in 2001 by Lyndon Duffield. It consisted of three members Lyndon, Mel and Martin. After a couple of months playing with a few covers, in came Matt who played guitar and also decided to sing a few notes here and there. Martin left due to work commitments, and in came Jason. Jason and Matt shared the lead vocal, which was usually decided like “Do you wanna’ sing this one?” “Okay then.” John was then asked to join in January 2002, and after a couple of Jamming sessions, agreed!
